A ball was kicked into the air from a balcony 20 feet above the ground , and the ball's height above the ground , I'm feet, t seconds after the ball was kicked was h(t)=20-16t^2+32t. What was the maximum height, in feet, of the ball above the ground after it was kicked?

what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a vertical motion problem @Luiskaradag

Well I checked on Google, but I reduced it : 20-16t(t-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is a parabola and it opens downward and if you find the vertex you will have the height of the ball

How?

https://www.desmos.com/calculator/yy76fngg45

If you look at that graph and put your mouse at the top of the line, you will see the vertex and the answer is the y value of that point

Make sure you click on the line at the very top

Thanks
