What is the value of the x variable in the solution to the following system of equations? 3x + 2y = 8 2x + 3y = 2 A. 4 B. −2 C. x can be any number as there are infinitely many solutions to this system D. There is no x value as there is no solution to this system

OpenStudy (lynfran):

do elimination or substitution method to find out.... if u use elimination method ... mutiply the 2nd equation through out by \[\frac{ 3 }{ 2 }\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I still don't understand D:

OpenStudy (lynfran):

so ur 2nd eq become \[3x+\frac{ 9 }{ 2 }y=3\]

OpenStudy (lynfran):

now take away eq 1 and the just found eq.|dw:1438031347985:dw|
