I think you need to post the first part of the question I assume earnings = 7.5 * hiours worked (h) + .20 * sales (s) + 40

Corinne has a job selling magazines. She earns $7.50 per hour plus 20% of the total amount of her sales. She also gets an allowance of $40 per week for gas. She knows her weekly earnings can be shown using the following expression:

so what things can be considered variables hint: does she work a fixed number of hours? does she always sell the same amount? a coefficient is a fixed 'constant such as a commission rate or an hourly rate which parts of the equation reflect those things?
