A group of 10 friends will pack bottles of water into an unknown number of coolers for a trip to the beach. Each cooler will contain 25 bottles. At the beach, the friends will share the bottles equally. Write an expression with one variable to represent the number of bottles each friend will get. Then, use your expression to find how many bottles each friend will get if they bring 2 coolers. Medal and fan for best answer.

@welshfella

OpenStudy (welshfella):

let there be x coolers 25 bottles per cooler so that's a total of 25x bottles These are shared between 10 friends so that is 25x/10 = 2.5x bottles per friend so number of bottles per fiend = 2.5 x

OpenStudy (welshfella):

so can you tell me number (n) for each friend if x = 2 ? n = ? - just plug in x = 2 into the function we just worked out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

25*2/10= 5 bottles for each person. ty @welshfella

OpenStudy (welshfella):
