How do you solve compound events? Please explain the answer

OpenStudy (nuccioreggie):

Please come back i need help @pooja195

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this the exact question? just as written?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

reason i am asking is that the question makes no sense you do not "solve a compound event" you can find the probability of a compound event a compound even it where two or more things happen

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if one event is say A, and the other is B then the compound event (both things occur) is the intersection \(A\cap B\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find the probability of the compound event, use \[P(A\cap B)=P(A)\times P(B|A)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

IF the events are "independent' then it is just multiplication \[P(A\cap B)=P(A)\times P(B)\]
