Help plz fan and medal

The function f(x) = −x2 + 50x − 264 models the profit, in dollars, a yoga studio makes for selling monthly memberships, where x is the number of memberships sold and f(x) is the amount of profit. Part A: Determine the vertex. What does this calculation mean in the context of the problem? (5 points) Part B: Determine the x-intercepts. What do these values mean in the context of the problem? (5 points)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I only need help on Part B

@phi

really :/ no one :/

OpenStudy (setsuna-yuregeshi):

Sorry, I forgot how to do this. I'd help you if I could.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok thanks man ._.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Alright dude :P

OpenStudy (phi):

\[ f(x) = −x^2 + 50x − 264 \] this is a parabola with the shape of \( \cap\), so it has a peak (called the vertex) the x value of the vertex is found using \[ x= \frac{-b}{2a} \] where a and b are defined by matching your parabola with \[ y=a x^2 + bx + c \]

OpenStudy (setsuna-yuregeshi):

@DarkMoonZ Sorry, I forgot that this was a quadratic function. Ugh. I did know how to do this. Sorry, cuz i saw x2 i assumed it wasn't

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh ok then lol

OpenStudy (triciaal):

Part B in the context of the problem x-intercepts means when y = 0 the subscriptions sold when no profit is made
