A box has 8 beads of the same size, but all are different colors. Tamy draws a bead randomly from the box, notes its color, and then puts the bead back in the box. She repeats this 3 times. What is the probability that Tamy would pick a red bead on the first draw, then a white bead, and finally a red bead again?
1 over 4096 1 over 512 1 over 64 1 over 8
@heretohelpalways
I am here
let's start
ok thanks lol please help me
do 1/8*1/8*1/8
and that should give you the answer
Would you like to know why?
1/512 and then i simplify right?
and yes i would :)
1/512 is already simplified
okay,
Do you know what an independent event is?
yes
okay, if you want to find the probability of a compound event, multiply each independent event in the problem
ok and then i get my answer right
so in the problem you have, the probability of picking a red bead was 1/8, a yellow bead 1/8, and the red marble probability was used again(1/8), so you would multiply these probabilities to get your answer
oh ok i get it now thanks!:)
could you please help with a few more...medal for each one lol
sure, no need for medals though. Keep posting on this post.
no i prefer to give medals lol hold on :)
new post ... i"ll tag u
If that's the case, I'll give you a medal. :)
thanks :)
