As the wavelength increases, the frequency? A. decreases and energy decreases B. increases and energy increases C. decreases and energy increases D. increases and energy deceases

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is invers relation between wavelength and the frequency. And it is mean that as the wave get longer the frequency get lower, and as the energy is directy proportioned to the frequency it decreases too.

OpenStudy (shamim):

Use v=f*lamda Here v is a constant

OpenStudy (shamim):

v=velocity of wave f=frequency of wave Lamda=wavelength

OpenStudy (shamim):

So f is inversely proportional to lamda

OpenStudy (shamim):

Again E=h*f

OpenStudy (shamim):

E=energy

OpenStudy (shamim):

So E is proportional to f

OpenStudy (shamim):

h=constant
