The vertices of a triangle are P(4,1), Q(2,-8), and R(-8,1). What are the vertices of the image reflected across the y-axis? I think its P(4,-1) q(2,8) andR(-8,-1)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

good guess, but no. you need to flip x coordinates instead

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

P(4,1) ---> P'(-4, 1)

oh shoot. Alright thanks

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

you figured out the remaining coordinates ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Indeed, I got (-2, -8) (-8,1)

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Q is correct R isn't
