help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@SyedMohammed98

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

yes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay! your here :) let me post the question :)

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

okay :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The number of different species living in a given area describes a habitat. a population. species diversity. genetic diversity.

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

as it refers to species so it's C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You would expect to find ________ in an ecosystem. only abiotic factors only biotic factors biotic and abiotic factors all the exotic factors

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

Biotic and abiotic factors. In an ecosystem you will find non-living factors, such as wind, soil, water, climate, as well as living organisms, such as animals, plants, bacteria.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thx next :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Organisms that are able to take the energy from the sun and make it usable for living things are called Producers Consumers Decomposers Controllers

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

. B - Producers - mostly plants making sugars and other stuffs through photosynthesis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its Producers?

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

yeh sorry it's A not B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh i was confused there for a second, lol :) next!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All the members of a specific species that live in an area are a habitat a population abiotic mutualistic

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

a population, obviously habitat is where the population lives abiotic means non living

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so B?

OpenStudy (rushwr):

I agree

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk, next!

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

how many?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which of the following shows how energy is transferred from organism to organism? Food Webs Food Chains Food Trails Food Squares

OpenStudy (rushwr):

Food chain right ? @SyedMohammed98

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i have 43 more questions left but we can do like 20 today and the rest tomorrow :) we are by #5 :)

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

. A food chain only follows just one path as animals find food. so yeh food chain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok next!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Due to responses in _________ , living things can change over time. cloning natural disasters changing in their environment fossil evidence

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

C)

OpenStudy (rushwr):

would it be changes in their environment @geny55

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bees collect nectar from flowers and, in turn, pollinate the flowers. This relationship is an example of commensalism. mutualism. parasitism. isolationism.

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

ummm m not sure but i think it's parasitism cuz parasitism is a non-mutual symbiotic relationship between species, where one species, the parasite, benefits at the expense of the other, the host.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok next!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The makeup of all the different species in the world is genetic diversity. a population. biological diversity. a habitat.

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

Genetic ofcourse......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok next!

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

last?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

noooo :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

According to the theory of evolution ______ traits will become common in a population over time. female favorable male recessive

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

i think it's male

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok next!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Organisms that eat both plants and animals are called omnivores. herbivores. producers. decomposers.

OpenStudy (rushwr):

omnivores

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Populations with ________ levels of genetic diversity are _________ likely to adapt to changes in the environment. high; less high; more low; more high; not

OpenStudy (rushwr):

2nd answer

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

yup rushwr is right....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

b?

OpenStudy (rushwr):

yeah

syed98 (syedmohammed98):

one of the user of openstudy named elly said that this is the case because the more diversity makes it more likely that an adaption will appear that is beneficial, basically. More changes can happen to the population, and the good ones will help it to adapt.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Predator-prey relationships are shown through food trees. food chains. food webs. food networks.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Rushwr

OpenStudy (rushwr):

yeah since they have a huge genetic diversity the no. of survivals would be high . For an example take a deer population ! So in a deer population if the genetic variation is high there can be ones who can run fast and survive from the wolves and ones who has low speed will be food for the wolves. SO like that since it has a high genetic variation some of it can survive. Imagine if all were with low speeds !

OpenStudy (rushwr):

Predators are those animals that live by preying on other organism right? So for relationship between them we can't suggest food tree ,food web or food network.. Only in food chain we see this relationship! Am I right ? :I
