Help with my essay thesis

So I have to read Aldous Huxley's insanely famous most prized piece of literature (-.-) BRAVE NEW WORLD (round of applause please) and write a critical analysis essay. I have a week left of summer and I've just started on it. So I want to write about how the people in the New World are constantly in a haze because of the soma, community sings, conditioning, etc etc, and they never have time to think about their situation. Here is the thesis I have come up with. Please tell me if it works for the essay I'm writing and if it is indeed a thesis. 

           In a strict, technologically-advanced world like the modern society illustrated in Huxley's Brave New World, stability is preserved when people lose their humanity by living in unawareness and artificial happiness.
