How does the U.S. Supreme Court affect the rights of citizens? It can take away the rights of citizens by ruling laws unconstitutional. It can rule laws unconstitutional that violate rights protected in the Constitution. It can make decisions in cases that only some citizens must follow. It can create new rights for citizens through approval of new laws.

How did the U.S. Supreme Court show a change of interpretation in the case of Brown v. Board of Education? The Brown decision completely overturned the decision made in Marbury v. Madison. The Brown decision reversed the decision of Plessy v. Ferguson for public schools. The Brown decision said segregation was legal in the nation when before it had been illegal. The Brown decision made all laws related to teaching foreign languages illegal.
