OpenStudy (kropot72):

The first equation can be rearranged to give y in terms of x. This expression for y can then be substituted for y in the second equation, giving an equation in x which can be solved to give the value of x. The value of y is then found by substitution of the x value in one of the original equations.

okie use elimination

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so wait. what am i using guys? elimination or substitution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do 3(2x+y=-4) this way you can eliminate y and solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u can use either but tbh substitution takes too long

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 3(2x+y=-4) ---> 6x+y=-12

OpenStudy (kropot72):

@Icedragon50 Dom has gone.
