Solve the system of equations by substitution. What is the solution for x? 2x + y = 1 4x + 2y = −2

You have multiple choice?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah x=0 x=2 x has no value so therefore ther is no solution x is infinite number of solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but x does have a value right? I am confused y=-x+0.5

pooja195 (pooja195):

Lets start off by isolating y 2x + y = 1 we use this because y is alone already which means less would :) we subtract 2x from both sdies y=-2x+1 now we use substituion :)
