How is the infinitive phrase used in the sentence? To prepare for the exam, study a little bit each night. A. adverb B. noun as subject C. noun as direct object D. adjective I know what the gerund phrase is....And I'm going to cross out C because gerund phrases aren't used for direct objects from what I've heard...

Derp...I meant Infinitives phrases. U.U

Lol I would go with A. adverb. "To prepare for the exam" is the infinitive phrase and explains "why" you should "study a little bit each night."

Alright. xD Ah, I should study moreeeee.~
