In order to find the average rate of change of a function from x=4 to x=7, you plug in x=7 into f(x) and subtract it by x=4 into f(x). Then you would divide it by the interval difference which 7-4=3. Here is the formula:\[\frac{ f(7)-f(4) }{ 7-4 }\]
