How do metamorphic rocks form? A.evaporation of seawater B.weathering and erosion due to water C.change due to heat and pressure D.cooling of magma

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The rocks are under tons and tons of pressure, which fosters heat build up, and this causes them to change.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is heat and pressure

OpenStudy (cookie_2046):

Then C!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The cooling of magma results in igneous rocks. Weathering and erosion I believe are causes for either sedimentary or none at all lol. Evaporation of sea water definitely wouldn't affect this, so the answer is C) change due to heat and pressure. (Also, note the word "morph" meaning change)
