If c is a negative number in the equation x^2 = c, how does that affect your ability to solve the equation for different values of n? Explain.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

hmmm I know that if we square root both sides and c ends up being a negative number inside the radical, we will have a problem. Since negative signs aren't allowed in radicals, the result is imaginary and an i is written.

OpenStudy (usukidoll):

like if c = -7 |dw:1438851933814:dw|
