MATH GEEKS UNITE! I need some serious help.
|dw:1438890072583:dw| Solve for side AC
\[\rm sin \rm \theta = \frac{ opposite }{ hypotenuse }~~~~ \cos \theta = \frac{ adjacent }{ hypotenuse } ~~\tan \theta = \frac{ opposite }{ adjacent }\]
|dw:1438890308055:dw| which function you should use to find x ?
TANGENT! :D
you need hypotenuse
you have to find AC which is hypotenuse of right triangle given is adjacent
? I really suck at this so please be patient with me. I am math disabled so.
actually i have to go. otherwise i can wait for 'n hour :=)
you should have one angle and one side to find 3rd one given is adjacent asking for x which is hypotenuse so apply cos function \[\rm cos 35 = \frac{ adjacent }{ hypotenuse }\]
@mathway @Matt_J02 @Hero @iGreen
|dw:1438899541766:dw| \[\rm cos 35 = \frac{ adjacent }{ hypotenuse }\] \[\cos 35 =\frac{ 15 }{ x}\] use calculator for cos 35 degree and then solve for x that's it.
