medal and fan An artist is making a square stained glass window in which a green g lass circle is surrounded by blue glass. The side length of the window is 20x, and the area of the green piece is 64πx^2 . What i s the area of the blue glass? Write your answer in factored form. so far i have Area 1= 400x^2 and Area 2= π(64πx^2)^2 and the GCF is 16x^2, am i right? can someone help me finish?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

i think that the are of blue glass is given by the subsequent difference: \[\Large 400{x^2} - 64\pi {x^2}\]

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

now, please try to factor out 16x^2, what do you get?

OpenStudy (kearsten):

16x^2(25-4pi)?

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

that's right!

OpenStudy (kearsten):

thanks again I'm getting better but still suck at math

OpenStudy (michele_laino):

:)
