Which statement about the scientific method is true? A. The scientific method involves developing and testing conclusions. B. The scientific method is a linear approach to accumulating scientific knowledge. C. The scientific method is used in different ways by different scientists. D. The scientific method involves developing a question to answer a hypothesis. please hurry.
B
I would have to also agree that in this case the best answer is B. However, the scientific method is not at all linear, it is actually cyclic as the steps are: 0. Observe 1. Develop a hypothesis 2. Perform Controlled Experiment 3. Analyze Results 4. Formulate Conclusion 5. REPEAT!!!! Repeating your study is how we gain confidence that our results are true. In many cases scientists repeat each others experiments to further confirm that the results are true. Unfortunately this question is somewhat poorly written, and B is probably the most correct answer because: (A) We do not test conclusions we test hypothesis (C) The scientific method is standardized, so I would hope all of us scientists are doing the same thing (D) A hypothesis is a question so you dont develop a question to answer one
