please help! Suppose you work as a clerk at a local retail store earning $6 per hour. The amount of your weekly paycheck (before taxes are taken out) could be written f(x) = 6x What is a reasonable domain for this function? Why? What is a reasonable range for this function? Why? What does mean in the context of this situation? @ganeshie8

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well what is a sensible number of hours to work each week, given there are 168 hourrs in a week. That would be the upper limit on the domain.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how would you write the domain?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

just like 0 < x <= upper limit so you need to work more that 0 hours but less that an upper limit... so 40 hours per week so its 0 < x <= 40

ok what about the range?
