How can you prove a triangle is an equilateral triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help for a medal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Each angle of an equilateral triangle has a degree measure of 60. The congruent sides of the triangle imply that all the angles are congruent. We can also use the converse of this, which is that three congruent angles imply three congruent sides in a triangle. Each of the angles above is 60°.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basically by showing that the angles area all the same or that the lengths of each side area the same

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does that make sense ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the distance formula to see if at least two sides are congruent. Use the slope formula to see if any sides are perpendicular. Use the distance formula to see if all three sides are congruent. Use the slope formula to see if any sides are parallel.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

those are the answers

OpenStudy (triciaal):

an equilateral triangle has all 3 sides the same length

OpenStudy (triciaal):

how come you are the one asking the question and you have a medal for the best response?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

woops thats my bad :P
