The idea is you have to make all the units the same so you can compare their values, So here's how you do it. First, you have to memorize or look up these conversions, for instance: \[100 cm = 1 m\] Then you cube it: \[(100 cm)^3 = (1 m)^3\] Work it out \[1000000 cm^3 = 1 m^3\] Then you can divide it to the other side and write it in scientific notation: \[1cm^3 = 10^{-6} m^3\] Now plug it in and compare.
