there are so many people online in math - even QH's - and no one is helping
Some people are shown as "online" while, in fact, they are offline. It's a glitch. Also, every helping user is voluntarily giving up their time to help...please do understand that they also have other things to do besides look at questions on posts. There are some people that have a OS tab open but aren't necessarily viewing the site itself (aka afk). Others are probably specifically helping or viewing other subjects besides Math.
sigh.
Whenever I hover my mouse over certain users, it displays as offline and that's been around for a long time. We are just volunteers who devote spare time on OpenStudy to help users with their questions. Users could be multitasking while staying on the site at the same. For example, I'm logged on OpenStudy, but I'm surfing the web and reading ebooks.
1) You can ask Qualified Helper questions :) by paying money (buying owl bucks!) your question will be yellow it will stick out to users and a Qualified Helper will come and help you! :) (for now this is only for math questions. And only in the Math Subject. 2) You can tag people use the "@" symbol like this @ TheSmartOne 3) You can post a link to your questions into the chats located at the bottom of the screen :) http://prntscr.com/763xln 4) You can pm users to see if they will help you :) http://prntscr.com/763xwu OR you can also click on a user's name whom you want help from like this: http://prntscr.com/763y39
Even if they are online, it's their choice if they want to help you or not. If you are really desperate try tagging few users. I hope you get your help. :)
Basically just don't expect help to always be there.
just don't masstag as in tag 40 users at one time because it's considered spam and against code of conduct.
You can always message a user too.
I helped her/him. so happy ending guys.
yay :)
