What is the d value of the following sequence? -6, -12, -18, -24,

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

what's the "common difference" or "d" then? pretty obvious I'd think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I really don't know how to do this, can you please help me?

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Common difference is the pattern, what's the pattern here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-6

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

There you go :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you! :)

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Yw, notice that it's an arithmetic progression as \[t_2-t_1=t_3-t_2\] where t is the term in the sequence and the subscript is the address of the term, so \[t_1 = -6~~~t_2 = -12\] etc :)
