If Mike used to have a dog then he owns something different now.
Tim does not not have a mouse, so the person who used to own a mouse and now has a cat is not Tim. It is also not Denzel because he has a dog. So therefore, it is Jessica

If Denzel has a dog and the person does not remember whether he owns it now or previously, then dog belong in one just category. It relates to the statement that the person who owns a cat now does not have a mouse. Therefore dog was past one and cat is his present one

Since Mike owns a dog right now, he must have something different, therefore Jeff is the person to have the same pet twice. Jeff probably had hammer as his current and previous pet due to lack of info on him.

Mike's current pet will be hamster also.
