Find an equation for the nth term of the arithmetic sequence 8,6,4,2...
8,6,4,2,0,-2,-4,-6,8 .....everyone agree?
Yeah
These are my options
@bingtamekia @LunyMoony
Oh, I see ok
I think D
how did you get D @bingtamekia
I was gonna say D too, it is the only one with a positive 2
common difference is 2
and so it has to be anything 8 or about, and D is the only one with that
oh okay that makes sense. is there like a formula i can use ?
yeah, here .... http://www.virtualnerd.com/worksheetHelper.php?tutID=Alg1_10_1_26
so what would -20, -16, -12, -8, ... be ?
common difference is 4, and that is positive 4 because the numbers are going towards down towards the positive numbers
so nth term can be -4th and up I believe
if I am wrong just correct me, sometimes Im not even sure
Well these are my options, this seems really tricky to me
sec ...
I believe D, since it is the only one that comes out as the rounded common number ....which is 4. so 4 is our first nth term
nah that wasnt it but its okay haha thank you so much for helping @LunyMoony
sorry, alright!
