@mathmate can you help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How many numbers are below 34?

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right. How many numbers are there in total?

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right. So 3 out of 15 are below 34. Do you know how to express 3/15 as a percentage?

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

is it 0.2 %

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

I divided 3 by 15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's part of it. But then you have to multiply by 100%. For example, \[\frac{ 4 }{ 20 } = 4\div 20 \times 100\% = 20\%\]Try it with your problem. What do you get?

zarkam21 (zarkam21):

20%?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Perfect. Well done!
