OpenStudy (minthia):

x-2/2=m+n for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You want to solve for x?

OpenStudy (minthia):

I need to solve the formula for the indicated variable

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also, just for this one - please post the answer choices.

OpenStudy (minthia):

x=2m+4 x=2(m+n)=2 x=2m+n+4 x= m+n/2 + 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(x-2)/2 = m+n First multiply by 2 on both sides. *2 *2 x-2 = 2(m+n) x-2 = 2m + 2n Now add 2 to both sides. +2 +2 x = 2m + 2n + 2 That is what I get. Does that make sense? And is that an answer choice?

OpenStudy (minthia):

it kinda makes since and yes those are the answer choices

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Check if you wrote them correctly, are you sure you wrote the second one correctly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That second equal sign should be a +

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think

OpenStudy (minthia):

yes you're right i messed up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then it is the second choice. I simplified further than I needed to. Hope this helps.

OpenStudy (minthia):

it does help thanks

Medal? :)
