You want to solve for x?
OpenStudy (minthia):
I need to solve the formula for the indicated variable
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Also, just for this one - please post the answer choices.
OpenStudy (minthia):
x=2m+4
x=2(m+n)=2
x=2m+n+4
x= m+n/2 + 2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
(x-2)/2 = m+n
First multiply by 2 on both sides.
*2 *2
x-2 = 2(m+n)
x-2 = 2m + 2n
Now add 2 to both sides.
+2 +2
x = 2m + 2n + 2
That is what I get. Does that make sense? And is that an answer choice?

Then it is the second choice. I simplified further than I needed to. Hope this helps.
