The bill at the luncheon came to $75.50. Three women decided to leave a 20% of the bill as a tip . How much did each women pay if they divided the total amount for lunch and tip ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@ccswims can you help me ?

OpenStudy (ccswims):

first, calculate what the tip plus the bill in total is. so multiply 75.50 * 0.2

OpenStudy (ccswims):

what do you get?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm going to solve it now

OpenStudy (ccswims):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I solved it & I got 1510

OpenStudy (ccswims):

each lady paid $30.20

OpenStudy (ccswims):

when you multiply 75.5 and 0.2 you get 15.1. you must then add the 15.1 and 75.5. then you get 90.6

OpenStudy (ccswims):

then you to divide 90.6 by 3 for the 3 women

OpenStudy (ccswims):

then you get 30.20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm sorry I didn't reply @ccswims

OpenStudy (ccswims):

its fine, as long as you get the problem its why im here :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay so each woman payed $30.20 for lunch & tip ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wait nevermind I got it thanks @ccswims :) I really appreciate it !!!
