What is the distinction between a function and a relation? List an example of each a function and a relation using at least 4 ordered pairs in your example

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

A relation is a set of ordered pairs. A function is a relation with two extra properties. 1) A function is defined everywhere: this means every element gets sent somewhere, i.e. every x has a corresponding y 2) A function is well defined: which says that each x can go with only one y value.
