Eric ran 10 times around a circular track. If the total distance he ran was 8 miles, what was the diameter of the track ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@UsukiDoll can you help me out ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[8\div10\] should do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Um I'm confused with that ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Dont u have to use π

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol you are right, wasn't reading it correctly sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[8\div 10=.8\] is the circumference of the track, not the diameter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since \[C=\pi D\] you would divide \(0.8\) by \(\pi\) to get your answer

Okay thanks :) @satellite73
