A newspaper reports the following changes in the temperature of a city over 4 days: 2.64 degrees Celsius, negative 2 over 9 degrees Celsius, −0.35 degrees Celsius, 5 over 8 degrees Celsius Write an expression to show the average daily change in the temperature of the city. Write the steps to solve the expression. Round your answer to the nearest hundredth.

OpenStudy (biohazard9064):

add both of the temperatures and then divide them by 2, and round it to the nearest hundredth

OpenStudy (biohazard9064):

so im guessing that you add these 2.64 degrees Celsius, negative 2 over 9 degrees Celsius, −0.35 degrees Celsius, 5 over 8 degrees Celsius then divide by 2

OpenStudy (lochana):

these are temperatures of each day. right?

OpenStudy (lochana):

Or is it a change of a given temperature of a day?

OpenStudy (lochana):

ah okay. You can sum them up. and divide it by 4
