OpenStudy (exoexoexo):

the angles of a pentagon are in ratio 9:10:12:14:15. what is the sum of measures of the smallest and largest angles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The sum of the angles of a polygon is 180°(n - 2) For a pentagon it's 180°(5 - 2) = 540°. Since the angles are in ratio, you can multiply the numbers in the ratio by x. 9x + 10x + 12x + 14x + 15x = 540 60x = 540 x = 9 The smallest angle is 9x = 81° The largest angle is 15x = 135°
