If TUVW is an isosceles trapezoid with TU parallel to WV , name a pair of similar triangles. Explain. A. by the SAS similarity theorem. B. by the SAS similarity theorem. C. by the AA similarity postulate. D. by the AA similarity postulate.
I think it is D
Angle-Angle (AA) Similarity Postulate. If two angles of one triangle are congruent to two angles of another. triangle, then the two triangles are similar- ffi.
UXV-WXT TXU-WXV WUV-TVW TXU-VXW
those are the similar triangles
do you mind if i ask the other person who was w us for a second opinion?
No of course not, I would love to hear a second opinion. :)
@mathstudent55
ahh they're not online. why do you think it is D?
I think it is D because I looked up the definitions for similarity theorem and similarity postulate. I already knew it was angle angle because means that the triangles have two of their angles equal and parallel.
AA means they have to be in two different triangle or parallel, but always equal.
The surface areas of two similar solids are 1008 cm^2 and 1372 cm^2 The volume of the larger solid is 1801 cm^3. Find the volume of the smaller solid. Round your answer to the nearest hundredth.
a) 252.15 b) 1134.16 c) 1323.18 d) 1372.19
@_greatmath7
A scale factor represents the ratio of corresponding sides in similar figures. (scale factor)^2 => area ratio (scale factor)^3 => volume ratio √( 2023/1183) = 17 / 13 (17/13)^3 = 4913 / 2197 4913 / 2197 = 2333 / x x = 1043.27 in^3
but that's not an answer choice
i already saw that on yahoo answers lol
those aren't the right numbers
oops ment 1134.20cm^3
I rounded
If a sphere’s radius is quadrupled, what is the corresponding change in surface area? A. The surface area is quadrupled. B. The surface area is multiplied by 8. C. The surface area is multiplied by 16. D. The surface area is doubled.
@iwanttolearn1212 keep the medal I don't want it
well can you still help me? you deserve the medal
yeahI am still helping you but for the other question
ok then!
SA=4 pi r^2 if you double the radius, it's quadrupled. answer is B. 4 pi (2r)^2 = 16 pi r^2
C I mean LOL
@iwanttolearn1212
A. lower quartile = 38, upper quartile = 47, interquartile range = 9 B. lower quartile = 45, upper quartile = 50, interquartile range = 5 C. lower quartile = 47, upper quartile = 53, interquartile range = 6 D. lower quartile = 45, upper quartile = 47, interquartile range = 2
Use the box-and-whisker plot below to identify the lower quartile, upper quartile, and interquartile range of the data set the plot represents.
B
The lower quartile is on the left side of the box. The higher quartile is on the right side of the box. :)
cool i have more! lol
you are amazing
LOL cool
thanks
Marcus has 16 jawbreakers, 12 chocolates, and 8 sugared fruit pieces in a candy box. Which of the following graphs represents the candies in the candy box? A. 2003-13-01-00-00-re_files/i0310000.jpg B. 2003-13-01-00-00-re_files/i0310001.jpg C. 2003-13-01-00-00-re_files/i0310002.jpg D. 2003-13-01-00-00-re_files/i0310003.jpg
let me attach the pic tures
u are online in school huh
a)
yes ahah i am on my final test
oh I am only in Edgenuity to
b)
c)
d)
yup im on edgenuity
:)
B is the correct answer.
C sorry
Jawbreakers have the biggest part of the circle graph or 44.44% of it.
Chocolate has 33.33% Fruit Candy 22.22% then you check to see if it adds up to 100%
SO C
thank u! wow
lol i have more :)
yw and okay Glad to Help
