What is the equation of the following graph? http://i.imgur.com/xELrIbf.gif

OpenStudy (xmistermayhem):

I think it's f(x)=cotθ but idk

OpenStudy (xmistermayhem):

No wait

OpenStudy (sohailiftikhar):

how you got this equation did you do some work on it ?

OpenStudy (xmistermayhem):

Nah, just wild guessing @_@ I dunno how to do work to find this...

OpenStudy (sohailiftikhar):

ok lemme check

OpenStudy (loser66):

tanx +3

OpenStudy (xmistermayhem):

how'd you get that though?

OpenStudy (loser66):

tan x has domain (\(-\pi/2, \pi/2\) ) and passes through origin (0,0). That is the y-intercept is 0 . This graph is exactly what tan x is but the y-intercept. On the graph, the y-intercept is (0,3), that is tan x is up to 3 units. --> tan x +3

OpenStudy (xmistermayhem):

ohh.

OpenStudy (xmistermayhem):

Thank you very much!!! <3
