I'm trying to solve an equation where I need to convert from exponential to logarithms in simultaneous equations. 7.5 = a * b^log2(128) 2.5 = a * b^log2(512) I calculated the log2 in both equation to get this: 7.5 = a * b^7 2.5 = a * b^9 But need to convert to logarithms on both sides to solve for b Can anyone help please? Thanks in advance

OpenStudy (lucaz):

do you have the answer?

OpenStudy (lucaz):

I just divide eq.1 / eq.2 and got 3=b^-2 then b=1/9, but I'm not sure if that's ok

OpenStudy (lucaz):

sorry, b= +/- 1/sqrt(3)
