OpenStudy (nerdyotter):

The diameter of circle C is 18 cm. Chord AD is the same length as a radius. Use this information, the diagram, and your experiences in geometry this semester to answer these questions. (Use pi = 3.14.) a.) What are the measures of angles BDA and DBA? b.) What is the sine of angle DBA? c.) Find the length of arc AB to the nearest hundredth. d.) How does the length of arc AD compare to the length of arc AB? e.) If EF = BD, then what is the degree measure of arc EF? Image of the circle: http://i.imgur.com/sloZ0jb.png

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A is 90 degrees because theres a rule that if theres an inscribed triangle that used the diameter it's 90 degrees

OpenStudy (nerdyotter):

Meaning that length BD is now the hypotenuse of the right triangle ABD?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c is 14.13 because BDA is a 90 degree angle and BCD is half of 360 which is 180 because it's a diameter. so use the formula x/360*pi*2r

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BA is the hypotenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For D say it's identical.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

E is obviously 180 degrees because it's equal to the diameter.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Angle DBA is 30 degrees

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sh1t sorry yea u were right the diameter is the hypotenuse

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That means BDA is 60 degrees

OpenStudy (nerdyotter):

@yomamabf For your first response, were you trying to tell me that the measure of angle A is 90 degrees or that the answer to question A is 90 degrees?
