How do you use the distance formula and slope formula to classify a triangle?

the distance formula is really pythagoras' theorem and you know c^2 = a^2 + b^2 is a right triangle then c^2 < a^2 + b^2 is acute c^2 > a^2 + b^2 is obtuse it you want to classify triangles based in scalene, isosceles and equilateral you can use the distance formula to find the length of the sides, looking for equal lengths the slope helps with right triangles if the slope of 2 segments multiply to -1, then the lines are perpendicular. so lots to know
