HOW WOULD I GRAPH Y=-|2X=3|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

plot some points and connect them

imqwerty (imqwerty):

Go to khanacademy or jst google it.... :D

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

I'd just use a table of values line substitute the x values to get the y values for an ordered pair x: -1: 0: 1: 2: 3 -------------------------- y: : -5: -3 : -1: -1: -3 so the vertex is between x = 1 and x = 2 its actually at x = 1 1/2 so the vertex is at (11/2, 0) then plot the rest of the points and you will see the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@campbell_st would i shade under the line or over

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

since its an equals sign, there isn't any shading... but use this link to check your graph https://www.desmos.com/calculator so just enter y = - abs(2x + 3) or whatever the absolute value equation is ...
