can anyone help me with a problem, all i need is HELP no answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Use the graph below to fill in the blank with the correct number: f(-2) = _______

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (triciaal):

i will be happy to help you

OpenStudy (triciaal):

each point is identified with 2 values. (x, y) called the coordinates the x is the horizontal (left or right) value and the y is the vertical ( up and down)

OpenStudy (triciaal):

f(x) means that the function is dependent on the value of x f(x) = y f(-2) means the value of y when x = -2

OpenStudy (triciaal):

here you have points on a graph each (x, y) let x = -2 and read the value of y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im still confused. because when x=-2 , you have y being 2 and 1...

OpenStudy (triciaal):

why are you confused?

OpenStudy (triciaal):

read again , each point is identified as (x, y) to get the ID for that point only focus on x then y

OpenStudy (triciaal):

here when x = -2 yes y = 2

OpenStudy (triciaal):

Each point has it's own ID

OpenStudy (triciaal):

Are you ok now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

OpenStudy (triciaal):

you are welcome
