are the 2011 lectures better then the 2008 ones?
currently on lecture three of the 2008 course but wondered if it is worth starting the 2011 course as it more likely uses a more updated version of python - or is what im doing fine to hep m lean coding?
any advice?

There is not a ton of difference between them.  The 2011 actually used an older version of Python to keep things more compatible with the 2008 and things they did later based on students using those.

There is also othing wrong with sampling things from both classes and seeing if one lecture explains things a little different from another.  Gives you an extra shot at understanding the material.
