Easiest way to do it ^^
PEMDAS

Remember to do EVERYTHING inside parentheses first.

Then first perform the multiplications or divisions.
THEN finish off by doing the additions or subtractions.
First choice:
35 / 7 - (5 + 4)
First do the stuff in the parentheses...
35 / 7 - (9)
Next, do the division
5 - 9
Then finally, do the subtraction.

And this isn't 21.5, so look at the other choices and see which one IS.
