What parasitic forms can be seen in the blood of a patient with African sleeping sickness? Filariasis? Amebiasis?

Hi! @tiara.dale ! \(\color{ORANGE}{\Huge\text{Welcome to OpenStudy!}}\)

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

So from the qn you mean amoebiasis and filariasis are the options? I dont think so..

OpenStudy (nincompoop):

look up on Trypanosoma

OpenStudy (rushwr):

African sleeping sickness is also known as trypanosomiasis. So the parasites would have that name Trypanosoma. Okai? Yeah it has to types of parasites involved. That would be Trypanosoma brucei gambiense and rypanosoma brucei rhodesiense. (Make sure that you underline the names seprately if u are writtings on a paper otherwise write in italics )

OpenStudy (rushwr):

two*

OpenStudy (shreehari499):

For filariasis, the parasite's name is Wuchereria bancrofti or malayi...and in the case of Amoebiasis, it Entamoeba histolytica

OpenStudy (rushwr):

I haven't learned those yet,.sorry couldn't help with that.
