OpenStudy (grimsnightmare):

Could someone just explain really fast ways that chemical bonds form? Thanks

OpenStudy (photon336):

most of the chemistry (i.e. bonds forming) takes place in the valence shell , the shell that's farthest from the nucleus, between two elements/atoms.

OpenStudy (grimsnightmare):

Okay is there any specific ways they they form other then when sharing electrons to balance? The way the question is stated in my assignment makes it sound like there is more then one reason they bond. However, I couldn't find anything in my material.

OpenStudy (photon336):

well let's look at an example |dw:1439583928530:dw|
