Wouldn't it be hard water and it is drinkable as they haven't found any adverse effects of it.

Correct.
Depends on the concentration though.
It is only undrinkable of 10000 mg/L or more, which is rare except maybe in areas of groundwater where to flows through mineral rich caves..

Makes sense I'm just familiar with hard water cause that's what I get here, it's drinkable but it has a weird taste to it
