Time: 0 -> 1 Bacteria Time: 1 -> 2 Bacteria Time: 2 -> 4 Bacteria so, in time x we have 2^x bacteria now, in time 8 (after 8 hours) we have 2^8 Bacteria, means 256! and in start we have 1, so after 8 hours we have 255 bacteria plus that one! the answer is 255
