Given the following graph, what is the approximate value of the function at x = 1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One second...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It should be -1 just by looking at the graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im thinking -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bc that where the line starts?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you go to x=1, and then find where the line is at x=1, you will notice that it is only at y=-1 In other words, f(1) = -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so if it started at like say 2, then it be F(1)=2

OpenStudy (welshfella):

what is the point on the y axis which corresponds to x = 1 on the graph|dw:1439755511011:dw|
