9m-4(m=1)=-(3m-20)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@peachpi @LegendarySadist

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that -4(m-1)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no m+1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9m-4m+4=-3m+20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's okay. Can you solve for that equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you get another 4??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-4(m+1)=-4m-4 -4*1=-4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhh right sorry about that some people do it another way and i got confused. :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its actually M=3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no sorry to break it to you but i already had the answer and needed help finding the steps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

9m−4(m+1)=−(3m−20) Simplify both sides of the equation. 9m−4(m+1)=−(3m−20) 9m+(−4)(m)+(−4)(1)=−3m+20(Distribute) 9m+−4m+−4=−3m+20 (9m+−4m)+(−4)=−3m+20(Combine Like Terms) 5m+−4=−3m+20 5m−4=−3m+20 Add 3m to both sides. 5m−4+3m=−3m+20+3m 8m−4=20 Add 4 to both sides. 8m−4+4=20+4 8m=24 Divide both sides by 8. 8m/8=24/8 m=? Tell me what 24 / 8 equals to. :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea 3 and thanks @Excellency

Got it! :D
